What We Do
N2C provides charitable resources and assistance to individuals, for their reformation and redemption. We truly believe Incarcerated Offenders are the key for our mission and catalyst for our vision. For they have walked the path which led them to prison yet will one day walk back into our communities. But with N2C help, they will be empowered, and ready to affect change. Therefore, in the beginning we offer:
-
Find the Key
A newsletter-words of wisdom, stories of redemption, and transformative guidance. Along with Information and resources for self-improvement, reentry, altruism, cultural awareness, etc.
-
Man Up! Project
Monthly activities for charitable outreach to citizens and communities. These altruistic projects are organized and funded by reformed offenders for their atonement and redemption.
-
Advocacy for Parole, Pardon, or Sentence Modification
For reformed offenders with good behavior and"special" circumstances (e.g. 15+ years served, Is time offenders, Lifers, etc.). Our effort to counteract the mass incarceration of minorities and the underprivileged, by the Prison Industrial Complex.
As N2C grows, we will begin offering Incarcerated Offenders:
-
Establishment and sponsorship of incarcerated N2C Chapters
-
Free books and magazine subscriptions to promote literacy, social awareness, self-help, etc.
-
Individual Development Account (IDA) for educational goals while incarcerated, or reentry needs.
Once these reformed offenders are released from incarceration, they will become integral components of our communities. Contributing to society as Returned Citizens by: motivating Incarcerated Offenders towards reformation, discouraging Ex-Offenders from recidivism, and deterring At-Risk Teens & Adults from criminogenic behavior. In addition, we will establish state/local N2C Chapters to provide:
-
Self-help workshops, Therapeutic counseling,Life Coaches, and Mentors
-
Advocacy for Restoration of Rights-voting, employment opportunities, Veteran/disability benefits, etc.
-
Advocacy for Restorative Justice-victim/offender mediation, conflict resolution, Prison Diversion, etc.
